Visualize yourself living your passion in future events!
When we last talked, we learned how to visualize (see The Facts About the Personal Passion Formula: Visualize Yourself Living Your Passion). We did this by remembering a happy event in our lives. Then we practiced visualization by reliving that event in our minds. Well, we didn’t just relive the event. We wallowed in it! Deliciously!!
Now that we’ve mastered visualizing ourselves living our passion in the past, we’re ready for the next step. And that’s projecting our visualization into the future – seeing ourselves happily living and profiting from our passions in upcoming life!
Here’s how it’s done.
Ready? Let’s go!
Find a moment and place where you will be as uninterrupted as possible. Now make yourself comfy! Remove anything that might distract your concentration. Kick off those shoes!
Now, close your eyes and imagine yourself in a situation of wonderful, joyful, absolute success!
For myself, I’m going to focus on the photo in this post. I’m going to visualize myself standing on the beach, waves licking at my bare feet, yelling for joy, my arm jabbed high into the air, my fingers spread wide in a “V” for victory…no doubt I’m looking at the massive balance in my checking account!
Now I’m closing my eyes. I’m concentrating on this scenario. Oh yes! I hear the sounds of the waves! I feel the salt water tingling my toes, the warm sun on my shoulders, gulls crying softly in the distance, happy laughter down the beach. I’m looking at the screen on my laptop. My browser is displaying my bank account. Wow! Look at that balance! Electric tingles of exhilaration shoot through my body! I can do anything with that much money! Suddenly I have funds for college – for a new car – for my favorite charities – for travel…!
Now you try it!
Choose an event or situation that you’ve been yearning for. If nothing comes immediately to mind, remember the personal passion list we made (find out how – or remind yourself here). Choose something from your list, but imagine it happening in the future, not the past.
Now, close your eyes…and visualize! Put yourself there!! Completely immerse yourself. Engage your senses. Visualize yourself experiencing feelings, scents, tastes, textures, sounds…!
Go ahead! Wallow!! It feels great!!!
